At Sea

Saturday 9th February 2013

Bumpy night as we are pushing on against a strong cross wind in order to get to Lifou in New Caledonia by tomorrow morning.

Kinesis at 8am but as the ship is still rocking & rolling Craig decided to do the ‘slow moves’ exercises today…this mean each repetition is to a slow count of five out and five in which really works the individual muscle groups…I actually enjoyed it.

Cheers Folks!!

Cheers Folks!!

Caught up on the blog again this morning – thank goodness for sea days – as when we have two port days in a row it is very difficult to fit everything in.

Vance is having a treat today – a thirty minute deep tissue back & neck massage…he tells me he deserves it and should be having one a week…he says it’s a reward for all of his brilliant photo show captions…hmm…ok point taken Vance…you do deserve it.

We didn’t fancy the show time in The Grand Salon so we went to The Observation Bar with Irene & Alan for a nightcap. Amazingly it is the first time on this cruise that we’ve visited the bar and  John Daniel entertained us with his good voice and brilliant piano melodies – he was so good. We will definitely be going there again.

Clocks back one hour tonight so now eleven hours in front of UK time.

Techie bits: On the 9th of February 7:30am we were:
19° south and 173° east
Travelling on a compass course 252°

Air temperature = 26°c (79°f)
Total nautical miles sailed = 9467

Keep up the good work, really enjoying the read and the photos.

See tht Jez is the chef in the Colonade, he was on the last cruise we did on Quest and yes he goes that extra mile for the passengers. I remember many a time when he kept raspberries for me.
