Crossing The International Date Line Certificate

Crossing The International Date Line Certificate

Ok… today never happened as we crossed the International Date Line going west – so at midnight Sunday 3rd February it became Tuesday 5th February and instead of being 12 hours behind the UK we are now 12 hours in front!! Weird or what…

The International Date Line is an imaginary line on the earth’s surface, generally following the 180° meridian of longitude (with a few zigzags to avoid a time change in populated areas) where, by international agreement, travellers change dates. Travelling eastward across the line one subtracts one calendar day and travelling westward one adds a day. Simples! as Aleksandr Orlov the Russian Meerkat would say.

So no blog or photos or techie bits because nothing happened.
